Why is it that when we fall in love with someone, we are FALLING? Isnt falling a feeling of hopelessness and oblivion? Why arnt we ever flying? (when we're in love)

Here I am, in all my glory.
I dont wear make up, and I dont pluck my eyebrows.
I find messing with my appearance to be tedious, useless, and completey pointless.
I say 'I love you' too much;
But most of the time, I mean it..
I'm fairly average, although I like to think I'm not.
I have a magnificently feral imagination.
I'm skeptical about everything.
